Don’t Worry, Be Happy

If you haven’t seen it, go rent Drive right now! And if you haven’t heard it, go download “A Real Hero” by College & Electric Youth. Great movie for the obvious reasons (Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan.. staring at each other and, well, driving) and a good song to cruise to. I made these using the app Phonto.

While I’m talking music… download Paramore’s newest album. It’s incredible.

Feelin’ Minty

I paired my new striped jeans and an older Zara mint studded jacket (both grungy rocker-ish pieces) with what I thought was the perfect mix of feminine spring pastels. I spotted these jeans at Forever21 and knew I couldn’t live without them. Vertically striped jeans are so slimming (and wildly popular right now) let me tell you. I highly recommend getting a pair.

Friday Cool

I’m on a bit of a Converse kick (pun intended) lately… they just seem to go with everything. It’s been so hot in LA this week so wearing a (dress turned) skirt, lightweight sweater and converse to work has been a lifesaver.

#FF // Inspired By Gatsby

I feel like everyone in the fashion scene is anxiously anticipating the release of The Great Gatsby, not only to see the perfectly adorable Carey Mulligan and hopelessly handsome Leonardo DiCaprio make out but for the to die for 1920s fashion. As fashion obsessed as I am, I certainly can’t wait. Trends (clothes, hair and make-up styles) will no doubt start to mirror what Carey wears in the film.. don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

I love these Vera Wang dresses so much

Spring Go-To

Stripes and floral is definitely a must wear look for spring and summer.

Maison Scotch

I have an obsession with Maison Scotch. Luckily I escaped the NYC store without much of a dent on my bank account but with an adorable addition to my wardrobe. These trousers are great because they can be dressed down with a bomber jacket and over-sized shades (as seen here) or dressed up with heels and a leather jacket for a night out.

As you can see.. the quality of my photos aren’t great. I am in desperate need of stepping my camera game up. Any advice on what DSLR I should splurge on fellow fashion bloggers? Nikon or Canon? Remember, I am a gal on a budget. :) Let me know what you think and I’ll keep you posted on what I decide!

I Love Boston

Given the recent tragedy in Boston, it was a bit of a coincidence that I had scheduled my first ever trip to Boston for this week. I got here Tuesday and have loved every minute of my stay. The city is beautiful and everyone is warm, welcoming and friendly. S and I toured Fenway (yes, he was in heaven), ate chowder and lobster (said in a Boston accent of course), and explored the historical city.

Now off to NYC!
